Frequently asked questions

How Pathory works, what the free plan includes, and how far you can rely on hours, prices and travel times.

Pathory in short

How a plan is built, and how it differs from a chat reply.

Pathory turns your destination, dates, budget and pace into a timed, day-by-day travel plan. Each day includes meals, breaks and estimated walking or transfer times, so it reads like a day you can actually follow. You can also plan a trip with more than one city.

A chat reply is usually a list of ideas in text. Pathory builds a full schedule instead: suggested places that can’t be found on the map are left out, opening hours from Google Places are taken into account where they are available, and travel time is built into every day. The result is a saved plan you can open again later.

Because they shape the plan. Pace decides how many stops fit into a day, when the day starts and how long the breaks are. Budget steers the kind of places and meals and the cost estimates, and in a note you can ask for a must-see place or something to avoid. All of this is taken into account when the plan is built, but we can’t promise that every wish will fit.

Using your plan

What the free plan shows, what Smart and Pro add, changes, and trips with several cities.

The free plan shows the first two days of your plan, with up to three stops a day and approximate times of day. Planned start and end times, estimated costs, accommodation and the later days open with Smart or Pro. You can preview some changes to those first two days for free.

Smart opens the whole plan: every day, estimated costs, accommodation and daily summaries. It also lets you apply changes after a preview, undo them, and add places from Explore. Pro adds full editing: changing the trip’s details and regenerating the plan, adding your own activities and optimizing the budget. Both are paid upgrades for a single trip; current prices are on the pricing page.

Yes. When you ask Pathory for a change, it shows how the change would affect your day before anything is applied; with Smart or Pro you can then apply it and undo it later. On the free plan you can preview some changes to the first two days. Pro also lets you edit the plan yourself and regenerate it.

Yes. You can build a route with several cities, and Pathory plans each stay and the transfers between them. How many cities fit depends on the number of days and your pace. Transfer times are estimates, and Pathory doesn’t show train or flight timetables.

Trust and bookings

How far to rely on hours, prices and travel times, and who handles bookings.

Opening hours come from Google Places where they are available, and Pathory never makes them up. Where hours are unknown, the plan uses a cautious time window and flags the place so you can check. Travel times are estimates based on distance and don’t include live traffic, and prices are estimates too. Hours and prices can change, so confirm them before you go.

Pathory doesn’t book hotels, activities or car rentals itself, and it doesn’t take payment for them. It links to partner sites such as Agoda, Viator and EconomyBookings, where you book and where price, availability and terms are confirmed. Some of these are partner links, so Pathory may earn a commission if you book through them.
